Home Automation Solution - Lighting Control & AV - Fitzroy Place
Business Challenge
Ajar Technology were engaged to design and implement the integrated Lighting Control in addition to the Audio Visual systems and Cat6 structured cabling within each of the 230 apartments at a high end development in Fitzroy Place, London.
Over and above the standard specification, 11 of these apartments were designated as “premier” dwellings, each including a sophisticated Home Automation control system to integrate the Lighting, HVAC and Video Door Entry systems.
Our Approach
Ajar Technology were pleased to offer our expertise to overcome an early project design challenge surrounding space constraints within the equipment cupboards housing the AV and data infrastructure.
In collaboration with the building developer, AJAR-tec designed and manufactured bespoke lighting enclosures for each apartment to cater for the post design change and ensure suitability for the installation environment.
Our Solution
Ajar Technology’s in house project delivery team also worked closely with the developer and consultants to create an individual lighting design for all 230 apartments including finalising the quantity and location of lighting control keypads in over 180 apartment types.
This design work also comprised the provision of bespoke keypad finishes for a total of over 2,300 keypads, with each button individually programmed for customisable scene-setting control according to resident preference.
